The c5 I just picked up has a 6" or so tint strip. I dont care for it and want it gone. There is what appears to be a single line defrost wire in it? Not sure if that's oem or not. Anyways, what's the best way to get this ugly tint off?
Use a heat gun, and peel slowly to get both layers
Let me change that to say you can probably use a hair dryer, heat guns get too hot, get an edge started and work from there.
Tint came off with a little heat and some pulling. It was a lazy attempt when installed. Factory is still there and fine. But it was literally a 10" strip. Made it hard to even see traffic lights.
getting the f45 tuned out as I write this by a friend at the dealer.
I second hair dryer. Had to remove sons z28 on side windows would not pass inspection. And yes I tried it with windows down and they rolled them up to inspect
