Help with new clutch

I got a monster stage 2 single disk clutch, this is my first clutch install, ok the friction plate came with a cardboard material on both sides, do you remove it? And it looks to be glued to the surface what do I do? And how do you all measure the new slave cylinder gap? Thanks

yeah I watched a few clutch vids, and none said anything about the material on the friction plate, it makes me upset.

Email their support. They are quite responsive.

PS - 2 years ago, my monster lt1s did not have any cardboard attached to the disks....

That's the clutch disc material, not cardboard.
