I have a 2002 M6. Only mods that will be done are exhaust and a 3.90 gear.
I won't do any track days or auto X with it. I use it for spirited driving in the mountains and some touring.
I'm doing spring maintenance on it and need to clean out the radiator so have to remove the air intake. I was thinking about replacing it with a Vararam as long as I have it off. I've read that they add power if you have a lot of other mods done but given the small mods list and my use of the car, will the Vararam make any difference?

Yes is the answer, in the effect that it looks great and will help your intake breath better
but don't expect horsepower gains by leaps and bounds, seriously doubt you will feel any increase
I love mine and am very happy with it, it breaths the outside air (not the engine air like some of the other types)
so the faster you go the more air is forced in
it was a no brainer for me, YMMV
I've got the 3.73 in mine (had a 2.73 before) with the 2.73 at 60 mph I was running around 1100 rpm, now with the 3.73 I'm around 1900
Love the 3.73 (a lot of fun) your going to have a great time with the 3.90
Let us know how it all works out

The Vararam will pair nicely with your exhaust to generally help your engine breathe better. The effects of this can be increased with a tune. However, as said, don't expect major HP gains. You're going to notice a MUCH bigger performance difference from the gear swap.

I do not think you will see a significant gain in performance from the Vararam, but it will show some. It is generally stated here on the forum that the Vararam shows more performance gains than many of the other aftermarket air intakes.
