steering lock
Question, Do all years of the C5's have or will have the steering lock problem?? I have an 04 automatic with 36700 miles on it. Should I get it done now or wait?? Don't really want to get stranded somewhere. Should I buy the kit and just keep it with me in case?? THKS

I know my 02 does not have that problem

Smoken1 - you are right - the '01 - '04 automatic equipped cars did not have the column lock installed - only the manual cars in those years had it.

I agree. I have an '04 auto as well. No column lock installed.

FWIW I just did the LMC5 column lock bypass on my 2000 (before it failed) and I am glad I didn't leave the kit in the glove box and wait for it to happen. Changing that in a parking lot would be a major pain.
