Well, I replaced my clutch master cylinder with a Tick unit and i still get dead pedal and no engagement. It looks like I am in for a slave cylinder, and might as well do the clutch assembly while it is apart. The car is stock and street driven mostly (want to try auto cross). Any recommendations on a replacement setup? I do not plan on adding any major power modifications anytime soon. Thank you!
McLeod RST reuses your stock flywheel. Dual clutch with stock manners that will hold 800hp. Lighter than LS1 and much lighter than LS7/LS2flywheel combo. Plus the weight is closer to the centerline of rotation.
Heard really good things about McLeod RST and Monster LT1-S. An LS7 clutch will work, but they are heavy. I like mine, but next time around I will pony up for something better.
I have the Mcleod in two of my cars now and I love them. They seem indestructible. I've done everything from drag racing, road, auto-x, and Land Speed without issues on mine.
Just as a feedback.
Also, pilot bearing couldn't hurt to be done as well.
LUK is the OEM for the Corvette C5. Get yourself a LUK LS7 kit and be done. Be in it for less than $600 for all of it.
he is and has said he doesnt plan on any big horse power adders and even then the LS7 clutch will hold most. I am putting 480s hp and 490s tq to the tire and it is holding up fine.

If you go with an LT-1s, they recommend a stock master, not a Tick master. That is a great clutch for higher hp, if you don't need it the LS-7 deal is hard to beat.
Something to be aware of. Mark your original flywheel to crank relationship and hold on to your original FW/PP until you are completely satisfied with your new setup.
PS. 2 years here on the Monster LT1-s, new stock slave, re-used stock master.
