I recently purchased a 50th anniversary Corvette. It still has the stock exhaust. I would like something a little better sounding but don’t want It too loud. The big thing is when on the highway I don’t want it to drone. Any suggestions?
The Corsa sport or touring system would be perfect for what you are looking for. It is loud when you get on it, but quiet at idle and on the free way. When I had the Corsa extremes on my car with the stock manifolds and cats, there was zero drone. Another thing I would recommend would be the Corsa x-pipe to go along with the catback.
I have a stock C5 and thinking about doing this. Want to avoid the highway drone, want it to be civilized when babying but turn into a monster when stepping on it. But everything I see online for sale is $1000+ except for one called RACEMMi for $550 on Ebay.
I had the Corsa Indy Pace Car exhaust (now called the Sport) on my '03 and the sound was awesome with no drone.
I concur. My 2000 ragtop came with the Corsa Indy exhaust and I have no plans to change it. It's perfect. Almost silent when cruising, but wakes up just enough when you want to have some fun with the pedal.
Corsa and Borla both make no drone systems. For those on a budget, I would suggest the exhaust bypass mod. This will have zero drone, will be louder than stock, and only costs about $200.00. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...5-exhaust.html

I agree. It was the best mod for the money. Remember the exhaust will not add any power only diffferance in sound.
Here is a bypass sound clip.
