Got delayed, but got new tires put on a few days ago. Went with non run flat BFG G- Force Comp 2. The old tires were cupped and car out of alignment. It is now what I expect a Corvette to be,
I really felt the shocks were bad but now I feel they are not so bad, going to give it a couple weeks to decide.
Just got in from wife's 90 degree horse show (horse makes a Corvette look downright affordable). They are the same "size" as the door plate, but thought they looked a little more bulbous on the side walls, whereas Goodyear run flats were straight up, even after 16 years.
I practiced jacking up Corvette yesterday and wondered if they might rub at full steer left/ right, but didn't see it or hear it as I have to spin car around in driveway to back in garage. Garage is narrow 2 car so you can only open doors to center of garage.
Will get picture when wife makes me help unload her horse sh*t in an hour.
As info, took Corvette to horse show last month which is mostly 70mph interstate and it beat me over 70. Took it to alumni weekend 2 weeks ago and backend was squirrelly on some 60mph rough road. Already tested at high speed before PD was over protecting for Independence Day. Handles high speed, corners, and even drove all the way to that rough road to verify improvement. Took Charger today due to heat, dust, traffic, cops, etc.
One more point, When we picked up from tire shop Tues, we also dropped off Durango to get its tires balanced. It poured on way home Tues in Corvette. When I went to pick up Durango on Weds in Corvette it poured on way there. These BFG are better in rain than the Michelin Pilot Sport my son has on his 2017 Charger Daytona 392, which has about 800lbs more pushing it down to road through the river of water.
Never liked weatherman before, despise him now that I have a convertible.
