Default Wheels?

Anyone know what brand wheels these are? I think they look great on the Z.

The center logo looks like CCW. Have you looked on their website?

The spoke windows look too large, for CCW Classics.

That is the old CCW "SP16A Hybrid" 3-piece modular wheel. I think they dropped that whole line of wheels.

The Hybrids like this were 2 piece and yup...discontinued. I've got a set of 4 really expensive paper weights to prove it!

They look to be quality built wheels. Probably discontinued due to production costs, because they're a great looking wheel. I can't recall seeing this exact wheel before, so they must be from an early 2000s run.......

These might look a little more familiar. Hybrid version of the SP500, called the HS500. When I called CCW to see if I could get my hands on a replacement, the hobo on the phone said they lost the supplier that made those. Considering the price and reputation, I was a little shocked to hear they weren't the supplier themselves...lol. I'm not sure if these were made before CCW was sold to Weld, but the general consensus seems to be that quality/service has really gone downhill since. With the very brief phone call I had with them, I'd say that's probably true.

I think that Weld is a "mass merchandising" supplier that bought a "name", while CCW stood for Complete CUSTOM Wheel, a customer oriented business. From what I understood, the original CCW did a lot of race wheels, and the resultant repair business that went with it. I could see a lot of race teams becoming disappointed, if that's Weld's business model.....

I'd say that's a fair assessment!

Love those wheels. Let's see a pic of the whole car. If they had a polished lip, I'd be throwing some money at ya🤣🤣

You're welcome to them...unfortunately one of them is unrepairable, which means the whole set is useless. I keep holding on to them in hopes that maybe one other Corvette owner bought a set and will put one or two up for sale at some point, but I know it's a lost cause lol. I don't take too many pics of the car in general, but here's one before...well, before many things

When you say "unrepairable", is the issue with the center, or one of the rim shells? If it's the shell, I doubt it would be a big deal, as various shells appear on E-Bay, on a regular basis.
