actually a good member here. Came in and is great quality.
Sounds like a nice build. I have a 2000 A4 vert. I had a 3.15 (G92 option) in mine from the factory. I went to a 3.42 from a C5 Z06 donor. If you don't have it in your mods, and can swing it, I think you'd gain from a FAST 92, w/90mm throttle body, and an 85mm MAF from the C5 Z06. The 3.42 isn't absolutely necessary. Reason I went with it is I have a 3,200 stall converter, and a 3.42 makes the converter feel tighter. As for the FAST, by buying the LS6 intake, moneywise, you're at least 1/2 way to the FAST. The 85mm MAF I'd do regardless of intake or throttlebody size. Plus, they aren't that expensive. I went with the LS6 intake, and then the FAST. I've been there. I shoulda gone with the FAST from the get go. Woulda saved some cash, for sure! Just saying, and best of luck to ya!!

ya I definitely wanted the 3.42 gears but the price difference just didn’t make sense for what my current plans are. The 3.15 with the stall should make it feel a little quicker regardless. I got the 3.15 for 350 and 3.42 was going for 1k. Just can’t see it making that large or a difference. I also was looking at the fast 92 but the ls6 only set me back 500 and again for what my plans are I think it will make me happy for now. I’m not making a drag car. Just something that I’ll enjoy driving thru the mountain roads. Probably somewhere around 425 hp is the goal. Appreciate the feedback though.

WOW!! The 3.42 diffs are going for 1k?!! They've sure gone up in the 16 years since I bought mine. Something you may also consider is going to the 300m hardened output shaft. IIRC, only the 'long' side needs to be beefed up. It's a good time to do it if you have the diff out, which I did, due to swapping the 3.15 for the 3.42. I did my stuff so long ago that the 92 FAST wasn't out yet! The FAST 90 (now discontinued) was the only thing available in a composite material back then. You should be smiling ear to ear when you're done. I also have a 2000, a vert. When the engine was totally stock, with boltons, thru stock exhaust manifolds, an LS6 intake, Blackwing air filter, and without so much as pulling a spark plug, I got it down to 12.89@110 in the 1/4 mile. Your car should be even quicker and faster....

Ya unfortunately it seems like the prices for upgrades have really skyrocketed as with everything else. My last car was a 2019 mustang gt with perf pack so my goal is to get this toy around that speed. That car was mid 12 stock so I think I can get there easily with the vette. It’s just hard to drive a sports car every day and as I get older I enjoy the day to day of my s90 but still want to have fun on the weekends. Lol.
and just cuz who doesn’t like photos? Here’s the gt I had.
