The Corsa exhaust was pulled off my Z so I was planning on putting it on the 04 vert. I know the car has to be fairly high off the ground to finagle it out. Anyone use a quickjack to pull an axleback off a Vette? Didn't know if it was going to get up high enough. I barely use the thing and figured this would be a good time to dust it off.
The Vert has Borla stingers on it. I was going to remove those and install the Corsa Extremes.

I would say you may have a real problem getting the stock exhaust off with the clearance offered by a Quick Jack. I think you need more to be able to twist the pipe over the axle without having to cut it.
If you are removing Borla’s and installing Corsa’s you shouldn’t have any problem at all.
Ive changed the axleback on mine several times on my kwiklift easily, just had to drop the rear swaybar on the passenger side.
All aftermarket axlebacks that I’m aware of are 2 piece, which makes it much easier to get the over axle pipe in and out.
I did have to take it to an exhaust shop and put it on a lift to get the OEM Ti off , because it has to be pretty high to make that turn, being one piece.
I was able to remove my stock ti catback in one piece on quickjacks. Raise the car up on quickjack. Put jack stands under the front and rear crossmembers, lower the car so it sits on jackstands. Stack 2x10s and rubber blocks that came with quickjack. Raise the car again with quickjack.

Borla will come out with normal quick jack and the low spacers used. Corsa ought to go in same way, though in 21 years and 3 C5s I have never owned that one. Oem, Ti, SLP, and a few different Borlas. Stingers are amazing.
And if anyone is removing stock exhaust.... For the love of all things holy, just bust out the sawzall!
This is not how you use a Quickjack. Insurance won't look to kindly to your claim if something goes wrong. Then again you might not be there to claim it.

You don't need the car extremely high to remove aftermarket systems. If the system has a joint right by the swaybar, separate it and it will come out easy. Just need to unbolt the swaybar from subframe typically.
If you jack up the car in the back high enough to where the front air damn is almost touching you should be fine.

They have the truck adapter kit to get you another 7 inches in height if you have the 5000 or 7000 series model
100% agree with this and it is well worth the investment to buy this kit. I swapped out my Z06 stock Ti exhaust using this adapter kit, and it was plenty high enough and made for the Quickjack.
