Default Cool-it kit

If I buy the cool-it kit for my 02 corvette will that turn on the high speed fan even when I have the ac on to help cool the coolant temperature in city driving? I live in Arizona and it gets real hot here right now
thanks

Why do you want to do this?

What temperatures are you running?

it is my understanding that the fans come on when the a/c is on and the temp gets above like 215 or so. They kick off when you get above 35 on the highway. If you want it to run cooler make sure the fins on the radiator are clean by using water or compressed air blowing from the rear to the front. remember these cars normal operating temp is somewhere between 195 and 215 with 225 or 230 not out of the question.

I think the high speed fan comes on automatcally when to AC is turned on. I have the cool it mod and like it. I use it when in town driving and not running AC.

I have recently purchased the Kool it kit for my 98 here in AZ and I have not seen it make any difference with it on. I have turned it on when I initially start the car before it gets hot and I have tried turning it on it when it starts going higher than the half mark, does not make any difference either way. Car temp still gets really hot. Temp will be fine when driving at night or early mornings, but once the outside temp reaches scorching hot during the day like it does, car can reach up to 240-250. Hasn't hit the red line for on the temp gauge yet but when it gets close your AC compressor will automatically turn off. I have turned the A/C off and cars temp will start cooling down but inside the car it is unbearable and with the windows open feels like your in a clothes dryer on high heat. I myself would say, save your money, because It hasn't worked for me or made any difference. Maybe someone else here in AZ, has had better luck and will chime in.

Is your radiator and condenser clean? Again I like mine. The deal or what I like about it is, with AC off the high fan doesn't come on until around 236° and I cruz around a lot with AC off and use the mod to bring high speed fan on and it keeps me under 200°. Not in your state so I don't see the temp numbers you do. Put it up 4 sale on for sale page, that is where I got mine. B well
