Anyone have any recommendations for a good squashed bug remover for the front end? Something that won’t harm the paint? And works……

You can buy the little sponge that has a cover with holes meant to gently scrub off bug guts, cheap at Walmart $2.00 or so, use with soapy water to soften up the bug guts, then rinse off and dry.

Also I have turtle wax brand bug and tar remover, you are supposed to use it after washing car, and use it while paint is cool, not in direct sunlight.

What has been said is good advice. Just about any commercial car wash soap from an auto parts store will do what you're looking for.

Mothers R3. Good enough to take racing rubber off, will definitely tackle bugs with ease.

Florida love bug permanent resident here.

Use a damp dryer sheet. Bugs will come right off!
I actually saw it on a YouTube video and tried it myself.
Google it and you'll see.

A good detailing spray also works to get the bug residue off.

I use Rejex on my Corvette after the clay bar - buff routine. Then dried bugs come off easily with water. Things just do not stick to Rejex.

I've used the Turtle wax product and it's pretty good.

If all else fails, use gasoline. Good for dissolving any tar that gets on the car as well.

Another Rejex user here. Works great on the windshield too.
On our Racecar I’ve used one of those wipes from “Tub-O-Towels”, those things seem to clean off anything! Takes the OPR (other peoples rubber) off the front of the car like wiping lipstick off a mirror. 😎

I've used Hydrogen Peroxide on my motorcycle windshields and expensive paint for many years...also use on all my other vehicles when necessary. Buy a large bottle (cheap) at your local drugstore, put some in a generic spray bottle and soak the little buggers & watch them foam up as the peroxide reacts to the buggy's organics. May take a couple extra shots & soakings if the little buggers have been baked on. Generally, after 2-5 mins they will come right off with a water dampened microfiber towel.

Having said this, I also use a product named Bugslide which works well for removal of bug guts but mostly for the added bug gut protection it provides before you head out. I keep a small travel spray bottle & microfiber in the saddlebags of my motorcycles, in our street rod and now in the vette...so when on the road can do a quick clean as needed. Good stuff... https://www.bugslide.com/ You can probably pick this up at most any motorcycle shop or order online.

*Lastly, the additional benefit of having a spray bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide in the garage is when you skin your knuckles, just squirt some on your ouchy to cleanse and prevent infection.

One thing I have learned is that having a good quality wax on the car makes bugs much easier to remove. Once you get your car clean get a high quality wax. I use Chemical guys butter carnuba.

I've considered the Chem Guys Butter Carnauba....how hard is it to apply/shine with this particular product? My past experience with real carnauba was very labor intensive.

The Chem guys butter carnuba is extremely easy to apply and buff off with a microfiber towel. I was surprised at how easy it is to use. The shine is very rich and deep and lasts a long time. I highly recommend it.
