I think you'd give him a Helluva good run, and maybe beat him by a tiny bit. It's all in the first 60'! Let's say he has 710 crank hp. He will be very lucky to have 600whp. So he has you there, say 600whp-500whp. BUT, I'd bet money you've got him by at least 750lbs, maybe more. Your car must be around 3,250lbs (my 2000 vert A4 weighed EXACTLY 3,250lbs on a certified grain scale) to his 4,000lbs+. I'd say if you're ahead at 60ft mark, you'll have him. BTW, years ago somebody told me the "C5s really hook if you take the front sway bar off, but then they handle like chit". Well, I'm here to tell you he was WRONG. I took mine off 15 years ago, and it's still off. Why? Because if I took you for a ride in it, you'd never know that sway bar is missing!! I can take corners as fast as I dare, with little to no body roll. But it sure does hook!! He was right about that. If all else fails, try it, you'll like it. If not, you can put it back easily......
Try 2000 lbs. Those things are over 5k curb weight. They just hook good from a dig. His Z06 has way better power to weight. In that Z06 try a highway roll against that Trackchicken.

I would have taken him from a roll. To give myself a bit of credit, i had no idea he was punching it and I was playing catch up. He just dusted me from the jump. Either way it was fun. I got a bit of redemption on the ride home, a 2010ish Mustang tried it, didnt stand a chance. 1 for 2 aint bad.
The Trackhawk® is a beautifully high-powered SUV with the heart and spirit of a track-tuned race car. Accelerating 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds, Trackhawk boasts a Supercharged 6.2L V8 engine and launch control.
0-60 in 3.5 seconds is no joke and with launch control, repeatable every time. I looked at them once and only once as they start out at almost $90,000

I'm with you on this one. It's got a 3.5 to 60 with launch control and AWD...but it's still only an 11.7 quarter mile car because it's too fat. I still like them though. Just not enough to buy one.
From what I witness at the track, the Jeep traps around 115-117. Run it from a roll. My C4 auto is build and traps 120. I have raced 2 Track hawks on the freeway and never had a problem. The OP's Z06 should at least trap 120. Just have to pick your spots.
not surprising... shoot, i spun from a dig & had a crew cab duramax pull on me before i caught up & passed him. that was on low boost with about 500whp

yeah this was a dig run. Honestly, I had a passenger and was mid conversation when I realized dude was trying to go for it. My reaction was terrible and everything just went bad from there. The Z is absolutely fast, just the driver sucks.

Wow!! Thanks for the info. I guess I was thinking of the Charger. I should know, I had a Grand Cherokee, which is basically what the Jeep is, and it was pretty hefty. As I said earlier, if OP gets that car to hook better, he should run away from the Trackhawk!!!
