2004 Z06/Z16 #165 here... just under 50k miles of smiles. Obviously my recommendation is for the 04 Z but honestly here to share info on the gas tank cross over concern. Mine fell into that range for the recall. I noticed a gas smell in the garage, similar to storing a lawn mower in your garage. At first I thought it was gas cap but research showed the cross over tube at fault. It was replaced under warranty. However, GM was trying to figure out the best way to do it. Early procedure had the entire rear-end removed but some smart tech figured out how to do it with only removing one wheel and the driver's side wheel well. I just kept the car under half a tank ( only had gas smell when over 2/3 tank) and waited for an appointment with the best Corvette shop in the area, about 30 minutes away. All good, done in a day and have never thought about it again.
A lot of words to say if the job has been done and documented, you don't need to worry about the cross over issue.

Well, most dealers have no idea what you're talking about, however, with the trick you mentioned it might not be so bad. Those are too beautiful vettes!
