I learned two valuable lessons:
1. Don’t take parts availability for granted. A pandemic reality.
2. Always call to make sure parts are in stock. Just because they are listed on a site, and just because they process your order and payment, it doesn’t guarantee the part is not back ordered.

oh, one more thing. Thanks for the information, advice, and insights!

SPEC Stage 2+ 10.5" with aluminum PP and matching SPEC aluminum 10.5" FW. Saves 20 lbs over stock LS6 unit. 90% DD my car with local autocross mixed in on a 400hp C5Z. For the price I love it with no problems.

If a person wants something performance oriented, I don't see how you can go LS7 unit, its still heavy and there are much better options. More TQ with a lighter clutch is a bonus.

My bad.

Thank you for your support and enthusiasm! I decided to eat fewer carbs and stay with the steel flywheel…

I just installed the Monster twin disc with the lighter flywheel on my mostly stock Z06 (full exhaust, etc). Clutch is very smooth but pedal pressure is higher than stock LS6 clutch. A little more throttle is needed from a dead stop to prevent stalling... Oh, And it wasn't cheap.

Where is the C5club original post? Anyway, I've been on the forum a long time, and this is the first time I've ever heard anyone make a negative comment about Gene!!

I don't think they are referring to Gene. Gene left gmpartsdirect and started his business "Cultrag Performance" 7 or 8 years ago.
