If you can't get to them through the tail light, the other option is to remove the rear wheel well. This is needed on the passenger side if you have the power antennae.

Tail light is far easier.

The outer tails just have two screws that hold them in place. From the factory, they should be T10 or T15 torx, I forget. Then 10mm thead cutting nuts hold on the rear side markers.

Tail light fastners are #15 Torx. The 10mm nuts on the side markers are the stamped sheetmetal type (read that SHARP)

Recommendation: Before installing new side marker lights, use the 10mm thread cutter nuts on the posts of the side marker lights to cut threads, then remove the nuts prior to installation. It is much easier to make the initial cuts on the side marker light posts while the lights are outside the car than once the lights are mounted. (Actually, this applies to any post that accepts thread cutter nuts - make the initial thread cuts prior to installing).

MWWarlord and Route99 pretty much have it covered. The power antenna on the vert does pose somewhat of a problem in getting to the side marker nuts, but worse case scenario going in through the wheel well liner is an option. Just be careful when removing the liner because using too much force, especially on plastic parts that may be original to the car, can result in a broken liner.
