Yes it is their top line cover. I made sure it was waterPROOF, not resistant or repellent. I’ve got a ticket in with them so hoping to hear from them today.

It looks just like the issue some had many years ago with the Anniversary paint. If water stood too long on it, it would cloud the paint. Let it stand in a dry place for a few days and it would disappear. If I remember correctly the clear coat was water based and would fog when left wet for long periods. Might be worth a try before you start buffing.

it has sat all weekend uncovered so I’m fearful the buffer is the next step.

Friends don't let friends use car covers on nice cars outdoors; no matter how much you spend on the cover.
There is more risk than reward.

I have seen the waterproofing chemicals in similar boat covers REALLY mess up paint and vinyl interiors on boats.
I would gather the same has happened to your paint. Hopefully it is fixable with paint correction.

So have you done anything yet?

Start with some compound, u can do it by hand but DA way better results. Make sure you only do small areas with compound otherwise you gonna screw 🔩 yourself.

Just curious… is the ‘clouding’ on the CC or under it? Using a good cleaner wax and a Terry cloth towel in a small area should determine the answer.

The car (while it resides in the Mojave) will not sit out uncovered while Mariah does its thing!... Circumstances often dictate the reasons for the cover... Ask any desert rat.
