Check the weep hole on the water pump. When it starts to leak it sometimes will evaporate before it starts dripping and you will see trails of evaporated coolant.

I noticed after a ride a slight coolant smell in the garage. At first there were no visible signs of a leak.
I checked under the overflow container for a crack that I read that can happen but no prob there.
I suspected water pump which after a month or so I finally got a couple drips on the floor. Yes it was the pump. 72k on it and if you search you will find many posts about it. Fairly easy job if you are somewhat handy.

As the overflow tanks age, they tend to warp. Check around the cap for coolant.
