Default Interior Heat Shield advice

Is there a ‘best’ heat SHIELD that most people like? Looking for one that does a good job with heat, sound is secondary. Thanks!

It really depends on what specific part of the car you're trying to reduce heat on. If it's under the hood, don't waste your money with exhaust coatings or wraps. I've done it all and the thing that works best is same thing that GM, Ferrari, Porsche and every other manufacturer in the world uses....a heat shield with an air gap. You can't make heat (energy) disappear...it has to go somewhere or will start to "cook" the area it is trapped in. The heat shield with air gap to what you're trying to protect allows the heat to leave the area due to air flow moving through the engine compartment.

There's heat containment, reflection, evacuation, etc, have to figure out where it's coming from, and where you want it to go or don't want it to go. What exactly are you shielding?

Thanks! This is for a friends C6Z, and for the interior-trans tunnel, floor, under the console, etc.

A lot of guys use butyl mat aka Dynamat, Kilmat, etc. which seems to help insulate from noise and heat.

Vette Nuts has various heat insulation products and pre cut kits.
