Thanks but that only gives you a range of builds. 107355 on October 3rd. 1997 to 107602 on October 7th. 1997. My VIN is 107499... somewhere in between.
Doing some quick math, there were about 50 per day produced. That would indicate 355 to 405 on the 3rd, 406 to 456 on the 4th, 457 to 507 on the 5th, putting yours as built late in the day of Oct 5th. Of course, I wouldn't take it to the bank, but it's probably fairly close. You may also want to check with the Corvette Action Center. I remember finding a site that had the production numbers broken down by day but can't remember where I found it. I found out my car was built on April 4th, 2002. Maybe the National Corvette Museum could help you out too..

Yours was built on Oct 3rd. No corvettes made on weekends. None made that Monday. Info's all there.

I just remembered that when I ordered my window sticker that I also ordered the build sheet. Photos indicate that the car was built on 9-23-1997 which doesn't jive with the numbers in the database. Would the date on the build sheet be the actual build date of the car?
I believe there is a related thread here somewhere about this. It has something to do with the scheduled production date (I can't recall the actual term used) and the day the car is actually built, which obviously vary.

I would imagine the build sheet is the day the build sheet got spec'd for how the car should be built, then later it gets built. Wouldn't make much sense the other way around, having a car built without documentation then spinning up a build sheet.
RIP evil-twin...He would have been able to answer this for sure.
Yeah.... 🙂 We all could use Evil-Twin nowadays for the correctional aspect, and his manor! 🙄 his oh so sweet Corrections to incorrect answers we occasionally get from well meaning folks around here! 😏 Those days were a hoot..!
Yes I did the exact opposite of what my C5 Z06 is all about by installing Dynamat. The car had a Borla cat back when I bought it. I couldn’t believe how loud it was on the highway or even driving around town.
Shame me if you want but….check out what I found under the drivers seat, weird to me at first but I’m over it now.

The date of 9-23-97 is the date your car's build sheet was created and entered into the production schedule
I concur that the date on the build sheet is when the completed order is created and entered into the production schedule.
If you also look at the "job number" listed on the build sheet that number tells you what the vehicles sequence was in that day's production.
In the OP's bc5162 build sheet "sequence number" 007409, would make his C5 around the 144th C5 produced on 10/3/97.
The C5 Registry spreadsheet in the time period beginning at 9/30/97 is missing two days worth of production data, Wed 10/01 and Thurs 10/2
Boy did I have too much idle time on my hands this morning.
So what you're saying here is that at least 144 C5 Corvettes were produced in one day 10-3-1997? I had no idea that so many could be built in one day... In 8 hours that 18 an hour...
