I would say $1200-$1500. I had mine done several years ago. I don't remember the exact amount, but it was in that range. The new top came with a lifetime warranty on the rear window!
I had a new top w/ rear defroster glass replaced in Indianapolis for $1700. It was the original Haartz material. Didn’t need a headliner and Vette is a 2001.
you're kidding, right?
supply issues, transportation issues, logistic issues, rampant inflation, economy in the crapper, *everything* is more money. I priced this out five years ago for just under $2k, should have done it then.
The only thing NOT worth more these days is.. gold :-)

I think i was talking about a top for a C5...were you talking about a top for a C2? .I may be wrong but i think i can get a new Twillfast top for my 2004 for $700 plus $800 labor to put it on...so no i was not kidding...and gold is now approaching $1900 an ounce...
2 years ago I had my top replaced for $1,300. I did not need a head liner. The top was made by EZ On Tops which is a supplier to GM. The window is not glued in like the original. It is attached some other way and has a rubber edge around it.

spot price on gold has been vacillating between $1,800 and $1,900 for way too long now :-)
I did a top on the c2, and that was a lot cheaper (I even went custom, using the same material as the c5 top instead of vinyl) But, I did that around 5 years ago now, before the pandemic, and the rampant inflation/supply issues/**** economy insanity Biden put us in.
So yeah, I'm referring to the c5 -- and I ordered it two weeks ago. Check on the prices, everything is inflated right now. And most places are seeing extensive delays. I got quotes from four different places near me, to get it in and installed in March, quotes were all around within a few hundred. If you can get something ordered, delivered, and installed cheaper, great, go for it. I can only speak to my experience.

"I just ordered one, $2,800 installed."
I still think that is $1000 to high...but then again , you are in N.Y. ...you people got the money to pay inflated prices....

Yup. Us NY ballers, $1k, we blow that on breakfast.
Keep in mind that cost (especially labor) will vary depending on your general location.
exactly. especially here -- I don't know how it is in the fly-over parts of the country, but on the east coast, shops are completely booked through the summer. I managed to get this shop to do my top because I already had time on their books to start another interior project.
Rampant inflation and supply issues are keeping material prices high while labor issues keep skilled labor in-demand and high priced. Perfect Biden-induced storm.
Pre-pandemic, I got a quote on the same job from another shop for just at $2k. Should have done it then, but at that point I was still set on selling the c5 and getting the c8.
