I just got one, but there are no instructions with it. Anyone have a copy of them or can share info about torques and where the nuts and bolts go? Please?
Thanks. I had seen this, but he say's "spec" when he talks about torquing, but he never says the number. It does help by showing where the bolts & nuts in the package go though. I's still like a set of the instructions...
took me 30 minutes.. don t put it in as a complete unit, you will struggle. put bar piece in first, then the mount slips into it easily.
Already done. How did you tighten the bolts through the bar and into the differential case? I had to put two washerson the bolt to have enough head exxposed to use a wrench on them!

Thanks for the tips. I got my HPI mount on Friday, installed it today. It went on without a hitch. I will give some feedback after I put the Vette on the road. Thanks for all the input!
I installed the original Pfadt mount (same design) about 10 years ago, and it helped handling, but did little to dampen the hop, and there was some vibration. Decided to slightly modify the mounting by using spacers to increase pad(s) pressure on the spring, and also used non compressible silicone cut from old intake couplers between all metal to metal contact points. The end result was even less hop, and zero vibration.

Not even of the car. I've had 'er 20 years, and the picture phase has come and gone. The fitment issues can't be seen unless it's on a lift. BTW, I also installed an ECS trans/diff brace; a really nice piece.
Has anyone had issues with these causing extreme drivetrain noise at about 2.5k-3k rpm? The mount does its job, definitely a driving improvement but just cruising it sounds like a Huey helicopter is landing on top of me at certain RPM. Everything is tight and both pads are making contact with the crossmember.

Thats the way they are. .exactly why i took mine off after 200 miles. too much noise and resonating. what fun is that.
bummer, are there any aftermarket mounts that are the best of both worlds? Or at least less annoying? If not I might just throw the stock one back in for my own sanity. Lol
