I dunno man. Mine rolled up last week with a massive box from TPS Motorsports carrying my new SKF x-tracker hubs and the dude was blasting People of the Sun by Rage Against the Machine. I never fear the guys in brown. Them Amazon dudes though.... They're dangerous.
I trust the theory that stock bottom end LS engines are best served a stock or stock replacement oil pump. In other words don't monkey around with super duper mega high pressure or high volume pumps.
I'm a big believer in the standard Melling oil pump for these engines. Or just a stock GM pump.
With the new truck tracking app, Ive had guys waiting on their driveway or rolling up the garage door when I pull up in my truck. I love seeing the projects that people are working on.

I've had many a delivery driver over the years be so excited to see what I'm working on for the parts being delivered. It's fun when they want check out what you are doing for a minute.

I grew up in a UPS household with my dad a division manager when I was a kid.
But if I get caught with the garage door open, I take note of the drivers facial details and description. Most everyone is cool. But some dudes case a joint. And I've got 12 grand on a stand, 9 grand on the floor, 10 grand on the shelves, and 6 grand in boxes over here. I've also got multiple knives stationed in the shop as well as a healthy amount of second amendment and two cams on wifi. But I also had a friend who was killed twenty years ago by thieves who stole just his head unit and left him on the side of the road, so I remain vigilant to the people in the world around me.

Only time I have met the delivery person out in the driveway is if I just happen to be there anyway. I'll answer the door if the driver rings the doorbell.

Same here. Both the FedEx and UPS routes, that go through my neighborhood, usually come around between 3 and 4 PM.......about the time I'm warming up my grill, in front of my garage. So, I frequently meet them in the driveway.

Before I saw your reply I was already thinking of a guy on another car forum, bought a T56 brand new.
After UPS or FedEx dropped it off, either that night or next day, his garage door was pried open with a long metal bar and ruined, new T56 was missing.
Either it was the delivery person , or someone they tipped off.
I'm one of those nut jobs that runs stock rockers just to see if they'll ever fail.
Honestly I think you have a better chance at having an oil pump failure on an LS.
That being said, I don't scoff at those that want to buy the nice rocker trunnion kits.
Eh, I wish I had just kept my rockers stock. I did the comp ones back in 2015 or so, and similar to OPs story.... they had issues with scoring and I was forced to find something else to replace em. I just bought the same BTR v2 kit and in the middle of the swap now. Should have just left it stock, would have been way less hassle. I was probably fixing a problem that didn't exist. Oh well, not the first time I've done that and certainly won't be the last, knowing me.
The BTR V2 appears to have superior materials and design features, and does not suffer the oiling issues of the bushing style. I’m looking forward to installing them and other components to beef up the valve train.

Morals in today's society are harder to find than a free C8......

Me too. I, ahem, 'upgraded' to a Comp trunnion kit in 2014. Suffice to say I'll never buy anything from Comp again. They've lost a customer here. What kind of school do their engineers get their degrees from, Screw U.?
