Default Just got my (second) C5!

It's beautiful!

New baby is a 2000 yellow coupe. Yellow floor mats, yellow steering wheel emblem, yellow emblem door sills, yellow engine covers, yellow top (AND dark glass)... always wanted a yellow vette and can't decide which top I like best but I think I will stick with the dark glass for now.

4th owner, 50k miles.

Thanks for reading!

Imo, the painted tops make the car look right. The glass never made sense to my mind because my logic is if I want sun I'll take it off.

Love the MY color. Best yellow out there. Truly! And most yellows do not look good, but MY nails it.

Keep the sills. The rest..... up to you.

So when does the supercharger go in? 😁

I get that. I like both tops but I think on the lighter colors (white & yellow) I really like the looks of the dark glass top personally. Kind of makes the whole top of the car look like a little bubble. More futuristic looking to me.
Kind of iffy on the floor mats as they have obviously been washed and lost some color so IF I take out anything yellow it will be those.

Also I like your profile pic. Ghost is amazing.

I should clarify, this isn't in addition to another C5 that I own, I sold my other C5 - this is just the second one I have bought. My garage isn't THAT big

Congrats! The car appears to have been very well maintained. That's a good mileage too. I personally prefer the yellow top, but it's your car, so use whichever one YOU like best. You can always change whenever you want. I hope that the car brings you many miles of smiles.

Thanks! I think I will eventually try each top for an extended period of time and see what I think. I do think its cool to see through the roof too when driving but maybe for a long trip the solid would be better.
I did my first wave in this one the second day I drove it, some guy in a black C7. There are quite a few vette's around here. I have seen every generation at least once.

I was a jerk and waved at a McLaren the other day. I honestly though it was a white C8 coming at me. Now he probably feels mad his car was taken for a mundane corvette!

Haha.
I have had people in Mustangs waive at me, makes me think they might also have a vette or had one at one point, I always waive back at anyone who waives at me. I have caught myself in my truck waiving at Corvettes too - just habit I guess.

You needn't fret... "The wave" between sports car guys began here in the US long before Corvette was on the seen.... We were a connected bunch of car guys back in the day.
