loved all the detailed pics.
I am currently getting wide fenders on my red FRC and then we decided to change the color to carbon flash metallic.

You have really dug into the car and by the time you are done, it should be like a new one, at least cosmetically. Looking very good. Hope to see pics of the finished product.

Weekend #11

Busy weekend, haven’t had a lot of time to focus on the car but still getting some hours in.

- Finished wet sanding in the rear bumper cover
- Pulled rear absorber and cleaned up the entire rear end
- Pulled wiper assembly due to intermittently coming on when the car was on the road, noticed water damage on the module so will be replacing both motor and module. Blasted and painted the linkage. Need to repair sealer just due to age of the car.
- Wet sanded first panel, 1500 to 3000 and buffed / polished. Stunning. This will really pop in the sun.

Another weekend, no major update. Likely won’t be updating much until I get back into assembly.

Sanding painted panels and polishing getting everything prepped. Car should be heading into the booth this coming week.

Been a couple weeks since an update, finally getting into some assembly!

Reassembly of doors, disassembly of door hinges, powder coating (didn’t want rust bleed on new paint), painting some little parts, etc. getting there…..

That's looking awesome. You're doing a better job then the factory did with that paint work. Very cool.

Another weekend another update -

whoever designed the reveal moldings on this car needs to find a new job! Spent quite some time getting things reassembled this morning and still not perfect. Can someone attach a couple photos of the molding right beside the mirror and also down at the edge of the door? Purchased new door moldings and it almost appears they’re short with the heavy gaps on both ends. Adjusted the door and cheated the trim but still not aligning great. Anyhow, here’s some photos.

That color looks great on this body style! Having done a few full paint jobs myself in the past, I can appreciate the amount of effort going into this. Looks really really good!

That gap on the molding is like that on all versions. They made it short for some reason. Every car I've seen has been like that, including mine.

You'll have to pardon the dust, haven't had time to mess with it much.
