2000 coupe refresh
First step was to look over the car and see what it's going to need. The paint is in rough shape. I haven't decided if it'll get a full paint job or just re shoot bad spots and rub the rest. The interior is very worn. Both seat covers are shot and the driver seat bottom foam is gone. Lots of interior bits are broken or missing. So far I have had good luck finding replacement parts. I got some cheap seat covers and a replacement drivers seat bottom foam. I'm not expecting too much out of the seat covers for $300 from ebay but they look nice in the box so we'll see how it goes.
It does run, drive, and stop. It was shifting rough but after a clutch fluid change and upgrade to c6 z06 shifter it is much better. The oil pressure sensor was working intermittently so would sometimes show zero oil pressure. New oil pressure sensor took care of it.
Last night I buffed a spot on the hood to see if I would be able to save this paint. It came out somewhat decent so I did the rest of the hood, the halo, and the deck lid this morning.
One thing I really like on some of my other cars is the npp or dual mode exhaust. I have a set of long tubes and x pipe for this c5 but don't want it to be super loud all the time. I picked up a pair of npp mufflers from a 5th gen camaro that I'm going to attempt to fit to the c5 then rig up a vacuum solenoid for control. The billy boat dual mode mufflers are wayyyy more $$ than I'm looking to spend.
There is one issue that I have not wrapped my head around yet. The car feels awfully lazy in the low rpms. I feel like my bone stock 94 c4 will go circles around this thing. It does pick up ok over ~4500. It did throw lean codes (P0157, P0137) for both banks yesterday so I'm suspecting a fuel pressure issue. I have a new fuel filter coming tomorrow to pop in and see if that makes any difference. Next will probably be a set of plugs. Anything else special I should be thinking of for a tune up?
I don't know if this car will be an addition to the stable or one to be sold. I really enjoy the LS platform for the ability to modify stuff. I also have a 2016 chevy ss stick car that makes 740whp so I can see this car getting modded quite a bit. 600whp on this would be nice

What wheels are those? Never seen them before
Also good luck withe the mufflers. Their angle will make them a challenge to work on the c5
