I would say isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol or Goo-Gone, along with a plastic razor blade and a towel.

Not the smartest move in the playbook. 0/10 do not recommend! Just get another can of the 3M stuff. It was the best thing I used if not a bit pricey IMHO.

I wanted to let everyone know that I tried mineral spirits and it did nothing, neither to remove the remaining adhesive nor remove the black outline.
To remove the black outline I used a clay bar. This is much better than using rubbing/polishing compound because you're not removing any clearcoat material, but rather pulling up whatever sits on top of it.
For the remaining adhesive residue, combination of heat gun (careful!) and scraping away with my fingernail. Could also use a plastic "razor blade".
