Thanks a bunch! I can fit it right in there like yours. I'm going to have to bend the bracket a bit but no big deal. Mystery solved!

the bracket should not be bent if it is new. It attached on the subframe in press-nuts.
the center of the bracket is leaning against the 2 aluminum pieces for rigidity purpose.
