I have an 03 50th anniversary and I’m trying to upgrade the radio. Tried single din with an attached screen, but it became a parasitic draw, so I want to try double din, but can’t find the dash bezel in the color shale (like a tan/beige color). Anyone know someone that makes/sells these?
Thank you JDM Vette for the paint info! I have an '04 CE with a black DD stereo bezel, and I'd love to refinish it back shale. Unfortunately they painted the console door cover black also, so I guess I will have to repaint the whole lot of console trim to make it right. It's ok, I need to pull it all anyway for cleaning and to pull the dash so I can repair the HUD and swap the ignition and hazard switches, and the stereo head unit.
Try Vettenuts. They sell the regular black DD bezel and might be able to offer one in Shale. SEM may also be an option if you can only source black.
Vettenuts does offer their bezel in the correct color, their bezel also has the ashtray cover and cup holder cover the others do not offer. Their bezel is more money but in my opinion worth it.
