I would put the money into maintenance such as new fluids, end links & bushings. And if needed, depending on age and miles, brakes, belts, hood and trunk struts, spark plugs and wires.
Reliability:
Replace valvesprings (see sticky thread in this forum for more info) LMC5 Column Lock Bypass
Harmonic balancer if wobbling (don't replace with OEM, go aftermarket)
Congrats on the purchase! These cars are pretty bulletproof, have owned mine for 5 years now and will keep it for life. A true supercar for its era- had one of the fastest lap times of any car in its day.

Ive done both of these on my 2003 base. Absolutely LOVE IT and highly recommend both. Also, my favorite thing I did was add a backup camera. If you are going to do the double din install, be sure to get one that accepts backup cameras and also has hands free Bluetooth (most do). The camera install was super easy and might as well get it done while you have the center console and radio out. Doing the double din and back up camera makes this car feel like brand new. It’s exactly what it needed to bring it up to modern day standards.
Anti venom mod but I would suggest only 1 washer instead of 2 because i dont like the idea of it being to loose. More risk of it popping out of gear on a hill
