So the flag part of the Corvette emblem was immediately replaced with something that is mistakenly representing French heritage.
It may no longer be in good taste to do so after cutting Louis out of all royalties and him dying as a common production line worker for said company and Louis Chevrolet was Swiss not French.
Better yet why not change the flag to a Lion w/crown symbol to a Belgium design for Zora Arkus-Duntov ?

Good luck with that. Corvette mods is not a reputable vendor. There are horror stories all over the forum.
I like the idea of an American flag on the emblem. However, I don't feel like they did a very good job of matching the flag to the shape of the C5 emblem.
Good to know about Corvette Mods' reputation (still learning which vendors to avoid- thanks). I agree the graphics could have been done better- once/if the emblems arrive, I'll take a look at them and decide what path to take. I'm thinking I may leave the checkered flag as is and just replace the right side of the emblem.
After placing the order, I did notice I did not receive an email from Corvette Mods confirming the order (even though they did collect my email address as part of the ordering process, and nearly every vendor sends an order confirmation email... I immediately received an email from my credit card indicating the charge had been processed).
The man had a grasp of mechanical engineering with an uncanny respect to engines and vehicle dynamics which led to the current level of production C8. He engineered the Ardun heads for Ford that later, the engineering was copied almost identically by Chrysler on the Hemi.
He also lobbied GM to build a mid engine car along with many performance upgrades to many models along the way.
Inserts or a new emblem? I'm having adhesion issues with mine. Original was taking apart so the entire thing had to go.
Both actually. At 1st I just inserted the bubble emblems but after a few years the outer emblem looked bad and I replaced them all again. Never had any issues either.
