There is also a new tire (to me) on the scene that goes by the trade name Lionheart. Lowest priced tire afaik but not too much support for their use on a Corvette. Probably because they are new on the scene or maybe because they are from Taiwan (not to get political here).
I went with them and their LH-FIVE line F&R...no issues at all
the price for a 345 was well worth the pull of the trigger
Thanks Jason and Arlen. Holly crap Batman those are huge!! 13.6 width and 30.2 tall??? How did you fit those in the wells? Kinda too wide and tall for my wheels I think as they are 18x9.5. I was thinking of going all around 275-35 as I believe they would fit nicely in the wells. At 9.5 wide wheels I don't think I can go any wider than somewhere between 245 to 275. But boy do those 345's look awesome and aggressive. Looks like non directional which is what I want to go with also so I can rotate as I want. Thanks again and cheers!!!
A little late to jump or add anything meaningful. But this is my new setup. APEX EC-7 18x10ET57 - 18x11ET58 with 265/35 and 295/35 Conti DWS-06+. Found these wheels to be very reasonably priced for high quality and light weight. Just need to drop her down an inch.

So now I have an issue with the air pressure threshold with the new tires. New tires are requiring a higher PSI than the factory ones so how do I change/reset the PSI to accept the higher PSI in the computer. Do I need a TECH 2 or a handheld tuner? I would like to just purchase one tool if possible and I don't know if the TECH 2 can process a tune or should I just go with a handheld tuner and will the tuner allow me to change the PSI threshold? I went with a square set of 275x35x18. TIA and cheers!!!
@jdmvette@vinco Thanks for the info. I brain was working through that and I was on the same page, but I had to ask to be sure as I have heard that some Vette owners do change their PSI threshold according to what the tire recommends. Good to hear and get it clarified. Cheers!!!

Without a doubt, one of my favorite wheels for the C5, they remind me of the C5R race wheels. I put the exact size wheels on my car this year as wheel, color and all. 275 fronts and 315 rears Conti Extreme Contact Force tires and they are so smooth.

Now as the summer cool heat (ha) is coming to a close I am buying up parts so when the rain starts coming down, she is going up in the air to begin the suspension work first. When I was replacing the wheels I did take a long gander at the front and rear suspension. Obviously, a lot of the rubber bushings need to be replaced for one thing. Also, I am thinking of the upper and lower (front) control arms. I am trying to decide to go with GM or aftermarket. I have seen some by Mevotech which appear to be reasonably priced, but I have no idea as to their quality so if anyone has used them please chime in. I will be starting from the inner position shocks and control arms then moving unto the brake system. For now thought just concentrating on the control arms and their associated bushings etc. Obviously at first I will inspect the current ones that are installed and look for weaknesses that are evident. The shock are not stock beause they do not have any wires connected to them so they must be aftermarket, but I will not know for sure until I pull them off.
So, any information you can give me as to part numbers, make etc., would be appreciated. Cheer!!!
Ya I was going to make this a semi build (although slow) thread since it all started with the wheels but you are probably correct. Will give that a shot in the tech forum. Cheers!!!
I actually will be cleaning up my stock GM wheels on my C5 and posting them for sale this upcoming weekend. I currently use Z06 rims on the C5. If your interested, maybe PM me.
