Ignition key thingy
I'm not sure what this is called but I would like to replace this black ringy thingy thingy, I'm not sure what the yellow pin does I think I've read before that it's something to do with security but I'm not 100% sure, can this ring/fascia be replaced ? or they even available anywhere does something need to be reprogrammed if I change it, I'm kind of lost on this one.

thanks. I saw those. Who knows how long to get here though and how much the shipping is going to be probably more than the parts worth. My local dealer wants $36 Canadian but it's going to take a week to get it out of Philadelphia to come here I want it within the next couple of days not a week or two later cuz my Dash is all apart now

i have secured one from a GM dealer in Vancouver, had 1 in stock for some reason, maybe was ordered for someone and nevet
got picked up, should see it today.

I bet you are! My OCD kicks into hyperdrive when I pull things apart. I'm the guy in the garage at 2am, sweating and covered in grime, talking to myself out loud and swearing like a sailor, until the last screw or bolt is back where it belongs.
