I have a set of factory C6 Starfish to put on my Vert. For the rears I have the 1/4 inch spacer. I haven’t found to much detail on the lug nuts used. One did mention longer lug nuts but that did not make sense to me because with the spacer there will be less stud. I also read one that stated stock nuts and got about 4 or 5 turns which was good enough.- That didn’t sound kosher to me either.
Depending how the spacer looks, I might switch to adaptors or longer studs and a bigger spacer. But for now I want to get the rims on to get a good look and drive it some.
I have the Starfish wheels on my 04 vert. Was told by one of the Vette shops in Denver that they do not see those wheels very often. Did 3/4 inch hub centrics on the rear and 1/4 inch spacers on the front to bring them out flush. Used factory lugnuts. Getting 5+ turns is safe. Anything less you are taking your chances.
Looks great! Mine is the exact same color combo. Since one of my rims is being repaired for a tiny rash from some dummy that doesn’t know how to change tires, I having the centers of mine painted slightly darker to make the star pop more.
The factory silver does have a pretty good flop but it’s hard to tell when the rim is off the vehicle and in your face.
Thanks for sharing the pic! IMHO those look great. Kinda took the anticipation out of it. LOL
As a general rule of thumb, 1-1/2 times the diameter is considered minimal thread engagement on most any thread. I'm not going to get into a pissing match, but there are damn few threads on any car that are more important than those which attach the wheels!! Personally, I'd never trust 5 complete turns of the lugnuts to hold my wheels on! If the OP decides to track the car, or play Indy car racer on the Tail of the Dragon, it may be the last time he-or someone else-plays ANYWHERE!!!
Those wheels look better on the C5 than on the C6 IMO!
Sorry to hear about the chemo.
IDK about anyone else, but when the OP starts a thread with a heading like that, while a bit comical, I'm not surprised at any posts afterward!!!
I was going to title it, “Are my nuts big enough?”I hope my humor wasn’t wasted- Just trying to keep things light. I’m kinda surprised there wasn’t more unique responses.

So what's the next mod? The paint contrast came out nice. If I happen to rash a wheel, I will probably do same.
Are you sure you don't want to do hubcentrics on the rear and bring them out flush to the top of the fender??
Askin for a friend...
lol
Tint the windows, I like the way yours looks but maybe a shade lighter. Always on the hunt for the elusive smoothline top.
I have been thinking about hub centrics but concerned on how low the car is. I think the previous owner put it as low as it could go on the bolts. There doesn’t look like there will be enough space between the outside edge of the fender and tire. Is yours lowered?
Ive been wrestling with caliper colors. My coupe is silver with the thin polished spokes, and I’m leaning toward silver+clear coat calipers with black script. I want them sanitary from 10 feet, and not too noticeable at all from 20 feet.
Your car is such a beautiful deep blue and those wheels really jump out because of the shape and contrast. Have you thought about body color + gloss clear coat calipers with silver or white script? A really custom look without taking your eye off the wheels….
Just a thought.

I was living in Las Vegas at the time I had them tinted so went "Limo" on it. My car is on lowered bolts, a Z51 rear spring, and Z06 shocks. Have never bottomed out, though I catch the front end once in a while on a driveway approach or speed bumps. To protect, I added the small wheels attached to the radiator lower supports.

I dig your idea, I did not think about it simply because I’ve never seen it executed correctly(IMHO), either the color match is too far off, or because the color of the car it comes off to garish. It makes me think of a tuner. - But you are right, with the dark blue it would be subtle with the lettering in silver. I did have the barrels of the rims darkened also. I would like to do the C7 ZO6 or aftermarket brake upgrade eventually. Ive got the upgraded brakes on my black V that are yellow w/black lettering with flat gunmetal rims and that looks good. But it does make the statement of look at my brakes.
What part of FL? I’m originally from Brevard County but live up in the Panhandle now.
