To all past and present forum members, thank you! I bought my first Corvette, a new-to-me '85 coupe, in 1999. Less than a year later, I traded it in on a new '00 coupe and joined the Corvette Forum. In the years since, I've had three more Corvettes including my latest '03 coupe. During that time, I've also enjoyed the help and advice of the people of this forum. I've seen how everyone is always ready to assist, to reach out, and to share.
All this is prompted by a simple little thing. Today I was washing my '03 for the first time since I bought her almost a month ago. The only reason it took that long, is three days after I bought her, I did something stupid and tore up my ankle (note to self, when your brain whispers "maybe you should get a step-ladder", LISTEN TO IT) and I just got the walking boot off a few days ago. While I was doing the washing, I tried a new bug and tar remover recommended by some members (plug for Chemical Guys) and it worked like a charm. My first thought? Chalk another one up to the Corvette Forum! Such a simple little thing, but so representative of the strength of this group.
I look forward to more years and more companionship and more help and advice. Thank you all!
ps. If you're ever in the New York State Finger Lakes region, let me know, the first one is on me!
This week, our Retirement Celebration trip is a few days on Seneca Lake for a little winery hopping and dining. If you see a Dark Bowling Green Metallic C5 with CT plates, don't forget to "Save the Wave".

Hope you make a full recovery soon. Care to share what brand of tar and bug remover worked so well? Thanks.....
Thanks for the note. It’s always great to know a recommended product works and especially nice that you would take the time to “shout out” how supportive members on the forum are.
Hope the remainder of your healing is quick and100% successful. Also your comment about listening to the brain is insightful. All along I’ve been thinking that the noise was mosquitoes.
