Nice car! Thanks for sharing. Is that a Z06 badge on the side? If so, I would definitely get rid of it as the car is clearly NOT a Z06. Is the car stock aside from the extra badging?

The C 5 had a lot of little things bad like radiator leak bad ts switch front air dam missing visors but all fixed now. Runs like new and everything works now. The badges are just for looks

Good for you in getting everything fixed, and running well.
Perhaps you are unaware that there is a stigma in the Corvette community when it comes to putting Z06 badges on a non-Z06 (this is especially true for FRCs). It makes people tend to view you as a liar. However, it's your car, and you can do whatever you want with it.
You may want to consider that the VAST majority of people will fall into 1 of 2 categories. Category 1 is people who have no idea what Z06 even means. These people will not be impressed by or care at all about the badging as it is totally meaningless to them (and only serves to break up the beautiful lines of your car). Category 2 is people who know exactly what a Z06 is, and can immediatly tell from a glance at any angle that your car is NOT a Z06. At best, these people will not be impressed as they know the badge is a lie. At worst, they will actively dislike you and your car because of it.
Now, if having them there brings you joy, then by all means keep them. However, if their purpose is to attract attention, and impress others, I strongly recommend that you remove them ASAP.

meh, that's an aftermarket tuner. I guess any company can make a few mods and stick whatever badge they want on a car. It's also misleading, as the car started out as a Coupe. Not sure why they went with Z06, as that's a totally different animal. Should have just stick to PR2 or whatever. GM did not make and convertible Zs.

The cars that you're referencing were A) Not made by GM, B) Prototypes that never actually went into production, and C) Don't have a stock LS1 engine. Nobody is going to be mistaking your mostly stock vert for a Skunk Werks prototype car. There are actually a few REAL Z06s out there that have been modified to be convertibles. However, those cars came from the factory as fixed roof Z06s, and were modified after they were sold.

You have a beautiful car! Why tarnish that by trying to pass it off as something that it isn't?

yeah, I get what your saying. I just don't buy it. By that measure, my car is rare. it's the only one with blue accent interior with red baseball stitching, Fikse wheels and custom camshaft, Yadda yadda yadda.

that car may be worth something, just not to me. It's nothing that couldn't be reproduced by a number of aftermarket tuners.
