A little hypocritical if you ask me. For those who know what a Z06 is also know the brake duct inlets and front grill screens on MWWarlord’s car are Z06 only components since we’re talking about factory produced cars. Those items are just as telling as the OP’s fender emblems. Wouldn’t you agree?

It's not hypocritical at all. Both the rear brake ducts and the front screens on my car are functional! I also have the Ti exhaust from a Z06 as well. However, ALL those parts serve a functional purpose, and are not badging. With 500 HP to the wheels, my car is actually faster than a stock Z06. However, I would never put a Z06 badge on my car, because it isn't a Z06. In fact, I just recently changed my plates from RED ROKN to FAST LS1 which further makes it clear to everyone that I'm not trying to pass the car off as a Z06. There is a BIG difference between adding functional, performance enhancing parts from a Z06, and just putting a Z06 badge on the car. All of my Z06 parts serve a functional purpose. What functional purpose does the Z06 badge serve on the OP's car? Literally the only purpose of that badge, is to specifically identify the car as a Z06 (which the OP's car is not). It looks to me like he wants people to think his car is faster than it really is.

For the record, I'm not really a fan of people putting fake vents on the C5 either (again, mine are functional, not fake). However, I look at it as a cosmetic mod. Even though it's not to my taste, if the car's owner likes it, then I'm glad it makes them happy. Just as I said to the OP, if the badges being there make him happy, then so be it. Who am I to say otherwise. However, if they are only there to try to make people think he has a Z06, then he's not fooling anybody, and they really need to go.

A perfect example... "You can fool some of the people some of the time.., but you can't fool all the people (here) all the time.".... Only some! 😎
