Default need a local diff gear installation shop

I live in Florence, South Carolina. I can't seem to find someone who knows what they're doing to install 3.73 gears in my '02 C5. I currently have 3.15 ratio.
Can anyone recommend someone?

Try posting in your regional forum. There is also a sticky post for good shops at the top of this forum. It it doesn't have a good shop in your area, please add to the sticky post when you find one.

I've looked in the regional forum and found one place in North Carolina. I'm waiting for a call back. And there is nothing close to me above.
Still looking for a reasonably close shop to Florence, SC.

I don’t have recommendations on a shop, but recently did 3.73 gears and 3200 converter. It’s definitely a different feel. Have you ever been in a c5 with 3.73 gear??? It will feel like you have more power and torque in every gear. My mph in the quarter mile went up about 3mph. I’m on street tires only. Not sure if I’ll net higher mph with a drag radial. No more 30-35 mph 1st gear drops because 1st gear will top out at 35mph. 2nd gear takes over and pulls just fine till about 72-75mph. Cruising at 78mph on expressway sets you at about 2600RPM. My gas mileage went down to about 22-23 highway.

I really like mine. Can’t wait till I get a heads and cam package. My car is ready now.

sorry about the long post. I was just giving some info. Definitely find a reputable shop, and I went with an RPM stage 2 diff, and a yankSS3200.

How about vengeance racing in GA??? I’ve heard good things about them. Don’t be afraid to drive a little to a quality shop. Do it once, do it right, and it should last a long time.

I tried calling them but no answer. They're on a list of places I've called. So far the only one who's willing to do it is National Speed in Wilmington, NC but I have no idea yet what they will charge or when they can get to it. I'm really hoping on them. It's only a little over two hours away. But we'll see. I'm calling Vengeance again before committing to National Speed. But the fact that no one answered doesn't look good. They may be too busy right now.

One more reason I like National Speed is they asked if I wanted to bring my own parts or have them install theirs. But that brings up another question I hadn't considered. Any suggestions on where to buy the gears? And what brand should I be looking at?

RPM transmission sells gears and transmissions. There gears are known to be the best. I bought the 3.73 stage 2. It’s not cheap, but worth it. Install should be around 750.00 and transmission tuning 100-150. Don’t forget shipping of the differential costs money too. Expect to pay around 3500 for everything. If you decide to do a converter, add 1,000 to that. A used 3.42 is a much cheaper route, I wanted new and the 3.73, so I forked up the money. I had mine done at Speed Inc. in Schaumburg IL. They did an excellent job and threw in a trans service, filter and gasket. I did not get a trans shift kit, because my original transmission is still fine, I’ll upgrade that when I grenade it.
