Default Memory seats

Hello Vette owners,
My 03 C5 Vette is having a problem with the memory seats. It always goes back into position when I take the key out. Now, getting in with the fob after it has been locked and unlocked with fob it works fine with just putting the key in. Now, here is the problem; If I DO NOT lock it and and just get in put the key in and start it, then hit the memory button nothing happens. I have re-programed it a number of times and nothing. Remember, if I lock it and unlock it, it works.
Any Help or ideas is appreciated.
Blaze

I usually just hit the unlock button and it sets it up for memory.

According to the manual the doors have to be locked / unlocked for the memory function to work. I have confirmed this is accurate. However, if I press the memory button the seat moves to the correct position.

you shouldn't need to push the memory button every time you get in!!

Maybe you're confused by the easy entry system that moves the seat back (not to a memory position)? I've turned that feature off, setting is through DIC maybe you can try it and see if it works as you expect

I use my memory button every time I get in/out...and flip up/down the steering wheel...no struggle getting in or out. It automatically backs with key removal. I hit the button once in for preset memory.
