Default Broken sun visor fix?

Hello I recently have purchased some new sun visors as the whole mirror assembly broke off the passenger side one and the new material looks nothing like the head liner and it looks very out of place. Does anyone sell a better looking replacement one that has the oem material or will I be able to fix the old one. Thanks in advance

Passenger side with broken mirror assembly

Oe on left . new one on right

I have perfect ones in my Z06 but I don't know how to get the airbag stuff off without killing them and I forgot how I managed to do it on my coupe.

Any tips?

From what I remember you can remove them by heating them up with a hair dryer and slowly peel them off. I think you might need some adhesive remover that won’t ruin the fabric if it leaves anything I’m not sure what brand though has something like that.

I've used Goo Gone on fabric before with no damage. It does leave an oily residue that dissipates in several days.

Their add (C&S) states they use a woven fabric similar to a C6 material. So they too will not match your headliner. Amazon is selling ones identical to C&S for $96 or $113 depending on the vendor. Both made in China.

That's what I bought from Amazon.
I have a glass top so no fabric match issues.
I don't like them but they look better than the floppy ears OEMs I had on there.
They look and feel cheap, but they literally are that.

Be nice to see a side by side comparison of the C&S vs Amazon visors. I’ve seen some videos of the originals being rebuilt. Might be worth a try before buying new.

OP - if you do buy the visors, please post up about the quality and fit so others will have an idea whether they are a good product.

Will do. I purchased similar ones on eBay but they should be the exact same.

They will not. The difference is in the material that is stuffed inside. The Chinese ones will use a cardboard material inside and you will be replacing them in a few years. The ones offered by C&S have vastly different internals. To know the true quality difference you would have to cut open your new visors, which I doubt you will.

Default Install update

I’ve been a bit busy lately but I finally got to taking pics of the visors installed. Like a reply above it only took me about 5 minutes to install these. The quality isn’t bad and it is plastic compared to the old cardboard. The only complaint is that the lights are very dim and you can barely tell they are on.
