Thanks for checking guys. I'll email the dealer and see what they think. I'm guessing the piece I'm pressing on needs to be replaced or taken apart to find out what is squeaking. Other C5's/Z06's I've checked didn't squeak either (although a 2001 Z06 I test drove had the same squeak).
I think...... but not sure......... that there's styrofoam in there as a deadner. If so, you don't want to spray anything as it might dissolve the foam.
I just checked and no squeak, just plastic creaking.
Since we are on the topic of squeaks, does anyone have a sqeuaky lap belt retractor on the drivers side on the bottom, not the top. When you are buckled in, the squeak starts when you hit bumps in the road. You can duplicate it at a stop by very lightly but quickly pulling on the lapbelt.
John don't sweat it, take it to the dealer and I believe it will be easily fixed. My dash also had that styrofoam sounding squeak and, according to the work order they "retorqued magnesium bar in dash and secured IPC." Honestly, I don't know what exactly that means but the squeak is gone! Does it sound like a styrofoam cooler rattling on something? If so that's exactly what mine sounded like and, like I said, is thankfully gone.

Do NOT put cardboard in the dash! :D

It does sound like squeaking styrofoam. I'll take it to the dealer. Thanks for the info.
BTW, the video was shot with a Digital Still Camera with MPEG video support (A Canon PowerShot G1). I have a video camera, capture card, etc., but the Canon is very handy for taking quick, small videos with decent quality for internet use (recompressed with Windows XP Movie Maker: quicker and easier than Adobe Premiere for small internet projects).
I know that your squeek is a bothersome problem to you and I hope you get it fixed. But, I just have to say.. For some reason the video just strikes me as rather funny/entertaining. Almost like it was filmed as a joke. Best of luck! (btw, no squeeks on my C5)

 It is pretty funny. I thought about playing a tune while filming, but I refrained  Because of the very high video compression, the audio is not well sync'd. Some people thought I was making the noise with my other hand...
I guarantee if you leave this video playing and walk away from your desk (home or work), anyone hearing the noise will be puzzled and amused when they see the video.
