I have a triple black C5 Vert with Z06 repro wheels, which I want to swap out. I bought some Crays that I want to powder coat black chrome. It may be too much black so I’m thinking of having the barrels and lip powder coated a metallic cherry red. I’m also going to paint the calipers a pewter gray with black lettering. Thoughts?
At the end of it, it will surely be whatever you think fits best per your liking and the vision you hope to fulfill with your car. If I may make some recommendations, I might suggest the following:
- gloss black lip and matte black spokes (reference either instagram's @adam_ls1 or older pics from @livin_twice)
- Bronze/dark gold, any combination or solid powder coat
- White (because things that are hard to keep clean are fun)
- all red (dark, anodized-like red)
I'm personally not a fan of red accents on wheels unless the whole wheel is red, but maybe that's only because I haven't seen it done your way. Best of luck in picking, but don't forget to make it your own and go with what makes you happy!
