Introductions . . . . sort of . . . . .
Introduction and a small tip to start things!
The car:
I recently became the owner of a low mileage 2002 convertible. darker red with tan soft top and tan interior. Pretty loaded with lots of electronics, lots of automatic stuff, and way more buttons than I am familiar with!
She's never been wrecked, in excellent condition and drives like a new car. I rolled her over 23K miles bringing her home!
Me:
I already own a 69 convertible that I LS swapped and have been a forum member for many years. I do the work work on my own cars.
A tip:
Admittedly I know little of the C5 however, I did swap all the little shocks on the trunk and convertible tonneau cover! They are surprisingly affordable, available, and a wonderful simple fix for the trunk that does not open or the tonneau you have to hold open when raising and lowering the top! FYI, when swapping the tonneau shocks, snap the shock on the little ball towards the back of the car first! Then snap the front one in place! The other way around I found almost impossible! LOL!
I look forward to expanding my group of Corvette friends!

Any plans with the car? They are pretty fun to drive and relatively simple machines, despite all the electronics. I've had mine for almost four years now and it still brings me joy every time I start it up. Hopefully yours will do the same.

Great cars - welcome.
I don't recall which part of the state but our own Mr. Black is from somewhere over there too.
Enjoy the temperate northwest winter!
Here is a shot I took when I got home with her.
The 69 is mine, the 07 is my brides.
The 02 is an unexpected welcome to the group.
For now she'll get cleaned up and all the "little" things repaired. I plan to keep her as is and just drive her.
I'm sure I'll have questions over time !!

. Were looking forward to learning the C5 quirks as she drives it next spring.
Thanks again....
