Really hate the seat in my 01 Z06 and I've noticed since I wear mostly gym shorts and moisture wicking shirts that I tend to slip around in the seat more because of the leather. Really don't want to go the cloth route unless I have to, but have not sat in a Micro suede seat before and am curious if I would experience the same feeling being that Micro suede is really soft. Thanks
My Corbeau Micro suede seats are supposed to be delivered today. My past experience is that you should not slip around in them.
I normally wear gym shorts as PJs so I’ll do a test for you.

I have the a4’s in suede….. they are very grippy and very very nice. I’ve had them for nearly a year, I’ve driven in synthetic gym clothes…. No issues at all with sliding around. You’ll love them if you decide to buy.
I can also vouch for the suede seats holding you steady.
I chose it for that but also because suede materials being entirely man-made, they are often quite strong fibers which survive excessive amounts of rubbing and force applied. So for a "cheaper" aftermarket seat I wager it might survive longer than most fake leathers or real leathers or certainly vinyl.
I can say that the stock seats were very slippery, even the actual texture of the leather was slick.
I have the leather corbeaus and not only is the leather thicker, but the texture / grain is more exposed and grippy. How much less than the suede? I cant say, but I don't think that would be a problem for you either if you were to prefer leather.
any one have experience with both suede and leather seats ? On the fence myself on which to get. My car is just a fun weekend driver
My AMG C63 had micro fiber/MB Suede and they were nice. Really nice when it is hot versus leather. I bought leather Corbeau's for my C5 and like them too! I think the bolster design is more important than the material IRT sliding around. Stock seats basically don't have bolsters worth a crap and that is why you move around so much. Personally, I like leather better. Easier to clean and keep up.
