Default Braum Seats

Finally received the new seat for the C5, despite the best efforts of UPS to completely destroy them. Nothing super crazy with colors. Black with red stitching. The back is covered with a carbon fiber looking material. Plan is to pull the seats out this weekend and determine if I can fit the power mechanisms to these new seats. No idea if it’s possible but I’m down for some fabricating to make it work. Definitely worried about the width at the seat back adjuster. The quality looks top notch. I looked them over top to bottom and didn’t see anything to be concerned about. I’ve got a 36” waist most days and I fit in them just about perfectly.

Ive only sat in one for a few minutes on the ground. Not really a good test. They are a firmer seat but I fit good and was comfortable for the short amount of time.

Please send pics after install. I'm looking for a seat that'll give me more headroom. I'm 6'1" and don't really have room to wear a helmet with the stock seats. I'll need an aftermarket seat that's mounted lower than the stock seat.

Something like these would definitely give you more head room. They’re several inches thinner in the seat pad area. It’ll all depend on the mounting.

I’ve confirmed, these won’t fit in a C5. I had to remove the interior panel around the seat belt mount and remove the seat belt assembly entirely just to get them to drop in. Even with them in, the width at the harness pass throughs is too wide. The door hits the seat when you close it. With the seat sitting on 2x4s there was maybe 1/2” to the roof line from the headrest. With the seat being wider they also had to be more set forward putting you in an uncomfortable position IMO.

I tried both seats on the passenger side. These are not an option for a C5. They look great in the car but just no reasonable way to mount them up. Kind of an important piece.

I’ll probably end up refurbing my sport seats.

Tied it. The seats are just too big. If the adjuster is to the inside it pushes the seat too far towards the door.
