Okay... finally got around to dealing with the barb and installing it... the kid had to perfect it a bit... it's printed out of ABS and honestly is better than the original. Here is the original and the printed one side by each (original obviously the faded old one)...

He is selling them for $50 canadian for a pair of them (about $30?) including USPS shipping... here is the link if it helps someone...
