Windshield Replacement
Driving home from work last week some road debris was kicked up by a truck and tagged my windshield. I went through safelite to get a replacement, but they are claiming that they can't source the windshield gasket and won't be able to replace the windshield. Anyone else run into this? The part number is 10333466. Also, any recommendations for places to order one?

I am just about ready to replace my windshield. I'm not sure how good your existing gasket is but if you talk to various installers you should be able to find one that can do the installation using the existing gasket. I found one here that looked at the existing rubber and is confident he can do it. Worse case scenario there is the Corvette Rubber piece available but it is very expensive. Good luck.
