Optima 78 or 25?
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

They may have changed it, but at one time the ‘97-‘00 C5s were specked for a Group 34/78 and ‘01-‘04 called for Group 75.
As far as I know, all dual number batteries (34/78; 75/25; etc), have both top post terminals and standard front screw in terminals. To me, the biggest benefit of the dual terminals is you can have your battery connected by the front screw in terminals and the top post terminals are convenient for attaching a trickle battery charger (or jumper cables).
I believe most members will recommend an AGM battery so you never worry about a battery acid leak since you have very significant computer control electrics below the battery. If not an AGM, at least used a battery fluid absorbent mat between the battery tray and the battery.

The 75/25 you are looking at is a very good battery IF you drive your car regularly or diligently keep it on a trickle charger if you are not driving it often.
As you are aware there are a lot of parasitic draw from different components within C5s. The biggest problem I believe people find with the red top is if it goes fully discharged it appears to be virtually impossible to get it to ever fully power back up. (At least that was my experience and the experience of the battery vendor I have used). I’m not familiar with the yellow top but I believe it is engineered to better handle higher loads on the battery so it may weather non-charging, non-use better.
The 75/25 will give you both the top post and front screw in terminals. (I am sure you noticed, but this particular red top is showing “not available” so not sure if/when they would be available at Summit although I am sure you can find it through other dealers).

i stopped shopping at walmart many years ago when they moved to harassing every customer for their receipt immediately after you scan, bag & pay for their **** 5 paces earlier at their self checkout.
swearing off Walmart in general, my store of choice has since been Amazon for most everything (besides groceries). Looking into a new AGM battery, I found and was wanting to purchase an Interstate AGM battery, specifically the MTZ-78 AGM

Amazon does not carry this size & I could not find the battery anywhere online or locally. i called a local shop and they said they could order it but i needed it sooner than their timeframe listed.
i did a little bit of digging online and couldn't find many instances of negative reviews for the Yellow top optimas. Amazon has them immediately available without core charges so i crossed my fingers and pulled the trigger and it arrived 2 days later & so far it's been doing great.
i LOVE the fact that this battery has dual terminals because i run a big audio system and have always had cram everything on the positive side post which runs out of room quickly due to the fuse box location. this new dual post battery gives me the top addition and that makes working with everything electrical much easier...

i didn't look into the Odyssey brand batteries but will give that a look if my Yellow top ends up giving me trouble.
