The issue I would face if I raised up is now the cowl but the forward angle of the firewall there as it raises up. I'll measure some time just to check. The 90* fitting off the rail is pretty low profile thankfully.
Wanted to give another update now that the Vibra Technics mounts have been on the car for 13 months & 2400 miles:
I really like them, still. This week I commuted 2 days (50mi/day) and I forget that the mounts are even upgraded (from a NVH standpoint). Of course I'm continuing to enjoy the better-connected feeling of them.
The car is due for an oil change so I'll make sure to visually check out the rubber and verify it's surviving.
Got a PM from a member and thought I'd share another update on these. Now at about 3 years and 8k miles on the mounts and still enjoying them. I haven't been looking for signs of degradation but they've been fine based on feel.
