I finally have my new to me C5 on my quick jacks and found what appears to be missing "nuts". Ehat say you experts. This is the lower side of front cross member.
Wow. Yeah those are pretty important to have...I'd strongly suggest taking a good look at the entire thing while you've got it up in the air to make sure no other very important nuts or bolts are missing
I had the same thought as Frodo...........when I had my C7's torque converter replaced the dealer stripped out 3 of 4 frame bolts in the rear cradle. NEVER start a bolt or nut with an impact wrench........
It looks like someone used an impact and broke off the studs/bolts....can you see the ends of them?
Studs are there. I could tell where nuts had been attached and could see they were attached to the engine. Just wanted to be sure of what i was looking at.....

Are you saying that the cradle is hanging low, off the ends of the studs?
